Looking at 4 Sound Codes and to Know The Journalims Standards and Ethics

we are looking at the 4 sound codes and to know the journalism standards and ethics.

we listened to the roadie news casts in order to identify the 9 news values of a roadie news cast, also we answered these questions

what stories are carried?
why do you think they choose those stories?
what sound codes did you hear?
what impact did they make?

responding to a real rear news cast

We listened to the roadie news cast today at 9.00 to the roadie station called sky news center.
the lead stories were mostly the important stories that the public need to know such as the anti -  socially behavior story etc. however stories that are least important such as the harry potter trailer story are always read last to make the audience feel happy. there many other stories carried out the roadie news cast for example world news stories form other country's, this helps the audience to stay in touch with the world and know what's happening in world for example the wars  in middle east etc.
I think the reason why news editors choose these stories is because they went the audience to be up to date with the news and also to get the audience attention for example
( driving to work and listening to the roadie news in the car gets the audience attention) so news editors need to put stories that wake up the audience and have stories that the public have to know for example (prime minster resigning) etc.
roadie news cast also use the effect of sound for example they have to think about the tone of voice/ speech, music, sound effects and silence because it will need to catch the audience attention also sound effects make the roadie news cast exciting.
the impact that the radio station made is that it wanted the public to know important story's that could affect everybody and that the public should have a say on the subject etc.

  1. Shaban , I think you should have specific examples of news values in your response. You have been successful inidentifying the effects of sound codes.
